Wolfram Alpha iPhone App From $50 To $2; Refunding If You Paid More

In October 2009 Wolfram Alpha, the much publicized computational knowledge engine released their iPhone app. Besides the features of the app its price made it much prominent. It was $50 that according to the company was accurate as it’s a substitute of a graphic calculator costing $100.

Well, not catching the market, it was brought down to $19.99 and now is available for $1.99. Company also announced that existing customers can ask for refund here.

The app is good and since it’s available on affordable price now, the company’s move sounds to attract a huge number of customers.

iPad Apps Available On The App Store

Though iPad is not available yet on the App Store, thousands of iPad apps are already available on the US App Store. You can purchase and download the iPad apps, but certainly you’ll need to hold on for a day or more to use them.

Steve Jobs worth $25 billion, according to Barron’s, which has named Steve Jobs as the `world’s most valuable CEO’ due to his direct impact on the company’s stock prices and revenue. Well, Jobs deserves that for sure!

“Probably the world’s most valuable CEO is Steve Jobs of Apple, as shown by stock dips on news of his medical problems,” says the report, which is primarily a list of the most respected CEOs in the world.

Why Apple Needs To Have Its Own Search Engine

Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster believes that there’s a “70% chance” that Apple (AAPL) will build its own search engine.

The huge number of iPhone holders with access to iTunes store and thus web, searching it right from iPhone safari definitely makes it an essential for Apple to have a strong search Engine. And above all the localization of businesses makes it a must have. It can be a Google killer too, no?

Finally Flash Coming To iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch

Apple finally released a version of Adobe’s popular Flash web application platform for its iPhone, iPod touch, and upcoming iPad, which will be available through the company’s iTunes Store when the iPad is launched, as reported by MacWorld Australia.

Deciding to offer Flash at last, was a concession to the realisation that iPad users would quickly revolt if they shelled out for the new device only to find that it wasn’t able to display a large proportion of Web multimedia out there, Say Steve Jobs. Delivering Flash, he explained, was the best compromise in the long term to make sure the device is as fully-featured as possible.

Fix blackra1n RC3 In iTunes 9.1 With BlackBreeze

To fix blackra1n RC3, start BlackBreeze and select blackra1n RC3 and go through these easy steps:

  • Select the directory where you want to save the fixed blackra1n RC3 executable file.
  • You’ll now notice that a new file by the name of blackra1n-fixed.exe would have been created in the directory where you chose to save it.
  • Now start this fixed version of blackra1n RC3 and use this to start your device (tethered).
  • Once done, you’ll now be able to sync your iPhone (firmware 3.1.2) safely with iTunes 9.1

iFund Gets $200 Million VC Funding For iPhone App Developers

According to Reuters, Silicon Valley venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers is going to double the size of its fund for iPhone application developers. The firm is seeing a great potential in Apple’s iPad and so trying to make most of it!

The iFund is now $200 million, and was originally launched in 2008 with a total of $100 million, which is now committed to 14 app development companies. Those companies have also raked in an additional $330 million from other investors, Kleiner Perkins reported.
